My major tools for research are observational data and numerical models. I use Python, Matlab, NCL, CDO, NCO, and Unix shell script for data analysis. I use numerical models (mainly CESM 1.2, ECHAM 4.6, and GFDL AM2.1) to perform experiments. Some of the numerical experiments I have performed are:

 a. narrowing the Atlantic by removing a 25-degree longitude strip, extending from the eastern coastlines of North American and South American continents, in both CESM 1.2 and ECHAM 4.6 coupled to a slab ocean.

 b. changing the orbital parameters and surface albedo

 c. changing the topography

 d. prescribing different q-flux

 e. using prescribed SST rather than q-flux experiments
