I'm a Ph.D. student in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington. I work with Professor David Battisti on climate dynamics. In particular, I use climate models (mainly ECHAM, CESM, GFDL AM2) and paleo proxy records (d18O records from speleothems, lake sediments, shells, etc. ) to understand the climatic effect of geological and astronomical factors.
My research interest includes:
-
the role of the orography and continental geometry on the climate
-
climate change on the orbital scale
-
the Earth's energy transport
-
terrestrial ecosystem-climate interaction
